Some alt love

I love my alts...
I use them for professions and to just waste time before going to school or a party. For some weird reason, I take it easier than with my main. It's not as stressful and it's WAY easier too quit.

My goal for them is to have at least 5 alts at or above 78. So far I've got an 80 hunter, 80 paladin, 78 DK, 78 Druid. So I guess my lock is going to be next. The only problem with my lock is his name (Sneep). I was very young when I thought of that name and I'm actually really ashamed of it, but I don't wanna spend real money to change his name in-game.
Ah well..

I'm really curious what will happen in Cataclysm, so that's why I'm already preparing my alts so I can join the FotM gang (really hope it's going to be a hunter this time!)

My view on politics

Years ago, while still being at high school, I came up with an idea: the way politics work isn't effective.
Why would I think that? Well, everyone's unique, so their thoughts are unique as well. Political parties however don't think like that, so they just make a blend of various ideas about various topics.
My conclusion: you can't ACTUALLY vote on a party, because you'll NEVER fully agree.
I've never voted in my life. There are things I like from various parties, but I can't agree on everything.

I used to be a socialist. I used to make paintings about socialism and I used to express my believes. At some point there were a few guys from Chechnya who were fed up with me. They burnt my paintings and swore that they would kill me if I would still express my political believes. They started speaking about Russia, Adolf Hitler, the Jihad and why socialism is bad.
From that moment on my life was changed. I lost faith that people would share my views and I learned that everybody has some ideas that conflict with the greater masses of politics.
Nowadays, my views on politics are a mixture of everything: capitalism, socialism, anarchy, nationalism, etc, etc...
The word fails...

Achies, Gearscore and "HAXX"

Here's a (nice?) piece of ranting. Do note that most of this comes from personal experiences and emotions.

There are a lot of stupid and dumb people in the World of Warcraft. There are some who like to think they've got a solution to it: 'Achies'.
First of all, you've got to have proof nowadays that you know what you're doing. Therefore people resort to "Achies" and the like. And what if the character you're playing is just an alt and that your main is Kungen from Ensidia? You still don't get invited, just because that specific character doesn't have X Achievement for Y instance. Elitist nonsense!

Second of all my least favorite: Gearscore. These days, when I look around in the trade channel there's one thing that strikes me: people identify themselves with a number. "5124 GS X Class LF Y instance". People should be chosen because they are good and not because when you do some math their gear comes out at some high number (often faked as well!)

My last piece of rant today: "HAXX". Yesterday, during a Warsong Gulch match on one of my alts, some priest started telling me I "HAXXd!". He claimed that I used something called "Walhaxx" and that I "will bann bc of HAXX". I didn't understand anything he said but the words "HAXX", "u!" and "reporded".
The funny thing is, when I tried explaining that it was a priest levitating up a wall, he said that that was me. That I "HAXX ppl".
If you start accusing people, look at the facts available. A priest using the levitate spell walking up a wall is the fault of a Tree Druid who's throwing out buffs and heals downstairs? Don't think so! And when you're accusing somebody, write in a way the other person actually understands what you're talking about.
Also, the fact that you know the NAMES of various "HAXX" makes YOU more suspicious than somebody who doesn't understand what they are!

In less words: people don't like using their brains and no longer trust people they don't know.

Utopia

"I have a dream..." - M.L.King

Think of your perfect world for a second, do this with your eyes closed.
What would it look like?
Who would be in it?
Who would be in control (if anyone?!)?

Now open your eyes and look around and see if you can find anything you thought of.
I've done this a lot, but it always leaves a weird taste in my mouth.

"I have a dream..." about a world in which culture is back to where it belongs. I have a dream about people living together without all the problems. I have a dream in which communication is clear and where you for once have the idea you know what everybody is saying.

I dream of Asia. I dream of people in Asia willing to forgive me for what my country has done to them and the world.

One day, I hope my day will come and that my dream comes true.

Queues... and some more queues...

/sigh

I've been having quite some problems with my alts and my AH'ing. The main thing that's keeping me back are the queues.
Since I'm not allowed to play WoW (thanks to my parents) I have to disconnect quite often, another reason why I'm not raiding or doing hardcore pvp. During the evening I'm often stuck in queues ranging from 10 to 45 minutes!

Another thing that's bugging me: JC. Let me explain: I casually try to sell a few gems along the way, but even those are not selling anymore. Seems that the competition is really on edge or there might be some power struggles on the AH battlefield. Whatever it is, it's making me NOT sell my gems (mostly Meta gems).

I'm going to shift my gaze a bit with Inscription. No longer will I focus on glyphs, but rather on vellums, to see if there's some money in that. Ever since the LFG and all that cross-server nonsense, there are a lot more enchanting mats so the prices for enchantments are lower. Perhaps that will make more people buy 'cheap' enchantments, so that's a market I should investigate further.

On the bright side, the prices for Eternal Fire seem to have gotten higher again, so I'm selling them for GREAT profit :)) from +- 700 or so I'm now down to 300, all for about 10 - 15g profit.

The last two weeks

I totally forgot about this blog of mine, so I'm sorry about that one!

Happy new year!

It's been some time since I wrote anything down, mainly due to new year and being ill.
I've been busy with studying Mandarin Chinese in my free time and with surviving my family.
My situation: I'm not allowed to play World of Warcraft. Yet, for some reason, I've been playing this game for 4 to 5 years now, so you can hardly call their actions successful!
About the family: my big brother got diagnosed as being depressed. Of course that's not something that just popped up, but something we knew for quite some time. Mental diseases are, sadly, pretty common in my family. I've got PDD-NOS... I'd describe it as a combination between Autism and PDD with some random other stuff mixed in. It's not a severe form, but it still is annoying.
Also, my little brother seems to get crazier by the day! He keeps skipping small parts of songs, movies and books and when you ask 'why', he starts attacking you. He tried to strangle me, started hitting me in the face and started crying when I started poking on a pressure point so he'd release me. He's really bad at fighting...

Ok!

Overview of my in-game 'life':
I've been leveling a few alts and I've tried getting rid of some of my Eternal Fires (I had around 40 stacks) and I'm down to around 25 stacks now.
The Eternals move slower than expected, but I'm still making a lot of profit (bought many of 'em for about 8/piece, selling for 18 - 22/piece).
At the same time I'm totally out of the glyph business. The competition was too fierce and I couldn't hold on to it. I've also noticed that many of my former competitors are out as well. Cutthroat competition with perhaps a few silver profit is not my thing...
On the bright side!
As I said, I've been leveling my alts a bit. My druid is at 77, same as my DK (I'm going to make a post about him in some time) and my Warlock is at... 73 if I remember correctly. Also, my mage's going up and since the queues on my server are bizar, I've been playing on my Horde Server as well. I'm a level 16 Undead Prot Warrior. Yeey! I do like its name: Watchmebleed, because well... it's Prot!
