Later this day, I'll be returning to WoW after a short break...
Yes, I haven't posted anything in a LONG time, but that's mostly because I just didn't feel like it.
I'm now sitting on roughly 125k gold and I'm mostly preparing for the upcoming expansion: alting, leveling profs and just getting everything ready for the first sales of the expansion.
Personal life: I'm on a diet, I've been away to Spain for 2 weeks and I learned that I like chatting with Thai people (don't really know why..)
About my diet, I'm not really FAT or anything, I just want to lose a few pounds (I was STARTING to get fat).
From now on, I'll try to post more often and about a wider range of things. Most people won't like it, but yeah, this sh*t's for me ;P

Alting is just too much fun!
Ok, long time since I've posted anything!
Overview:
80 Lock
80 Druid
80 DK
80 Paladin
80 Hunter
Sounds good right?! Not really, since most of them are in crap gear, but it's nice while waiting for Cata (hint for a possible reroll?!)
I'm currently maxing out the last bits of my professions and I'm slowly working on leveling a Priest (as holy that is); which is actually quite funny due to the heavy burst damage holy gives at low levels! I'm currently sitting at 38, but I think that after 40 I'm going Shadow again :)
Goldmaking has slowed down quite a bit: it seems I've just found myself another wall!

Das Kapital
Currently I'm sitting on a small fortune:
49k + 7.5k + 15.5k + 5k + 3.8k + 1.8k + 500 + 200 = 83300g +- and a lot of stuff in items
I've still got about 200 Meta gems, about 100 Eternal Fires, about 80 Dark Jades, about 60 Chalcedonys (spelling?), 15 Eternal Belt Buckles, 40 Greater Cosmic Essence and a lot more :)
So all in all... 90 - 100k

Lazy/Crazy man's gold
Ok, this is an idea I've thought of on how to make gold easily. You do, however, need quite a large starting fund and/or a lot of time to set it up.
This post is mainly directed to a friend of mine, but it could just work for anyone!
First: level cooking and fishing. It IS time intensive to level, but it's worth it because of the dailies.
Second: if you're leveling a character with strong AoEs, pick skinning. Borean, Nagrand and places like that are heaven for you. I did this on my Paladin (Prot) and my Lock (Destro/Affli) and with all the meat, the greys and the skins it is quite a lot of gold. It hardly requires more than just bashing your head on your keyboard to get them to die.
Third: if you're into soloing dungeons I'd recommend doing ones with valuable items: mageweave, runecloth, rep items, wool cloth (Horde mostly!). Dungeons I like to do: Stratholme, Steam vault, Zul'Farak. They are squishy and can often be mass pulled.
Fourth: if you've got JC/Alchemy/Tailoring/Mining, never forget to do your daily or use your CDs.
Fifth: While leveling a toon, you'll probably run into a lot of different items: greys, whites, greens, blues and epics. Everything has at least SOME value. You could vendor it, use it, AH it, but you often shouldn't throw it away! So: bring big and clean bags (Netherweave's 16slotters are a GREAT start and hardly cost more than 12g/piece)
Sixth: P.I.M.P. your bank. How often did you just vendor stuff or threw something on the AH just because you ran out of space? Buy all the tabs you can, there's even an achievement for it!
Seventh: not everything is about end-game items. You could focus on old world items that are still valuable: ores/bars (Adamantite/Fel Iron/Thorium/Mithril), herbs (Kingsblood/Briarthorn) etc...
Eight: I you haven't got a gatherer toon, make a DK if you can! They've got a talent called "on a pale horse" or something like that and it increases your mounted speed by 20%! Now level some nice gathering profs and walk around like a mad man
Ninth: If you just don't have a lot of high level characters, just borrow your friend's characters. Often people just forget about their profession's dailies.
Tenth: Be innovative. Be positive. I can make some gold and so can you! Do some research and I'm sure you'll find a nice market.
Good luck!

Transmutation...
Many people claim that Elixir is THE way to go with Alchemy. I tried it, but it was horrible. Didn't suit me: recruiting a botter to grind for me or else farm the AH like crazy. Not my cup of tea.
So... I shifted my focus towards transmutation. The proc chance isn't too great, but I do like it a lot. I've got a lot of leftover green quality gems from JC and the Eternals aren't hard to come by.
Meta gems and the 'daily' transmutation are the core of my Transmutation machine.
A part of the meta gems goes straight into the AH, but about 75% goes to my JC. I should really start using my Jc more... ah well... I've still got 240 UNCUT meta gems lying around. Even just putting them straight on the AH should net me a little fortune!
240 x 35 (minimum price for uncut meta, often higher) = 8400.
The cost in creating them isn't all that high: +- 25g.
So even in a bad situation I'd still get 2000g+ (AH cut and other failed sales guessed) profit even if they are uncut.
Cut they could go for 75g when demand is high and supply is 'low' (I'm around!), but often they just go for 50g.
My personal favorites are +agi/+critdmg and +crit/+critdmg. Pretty much every class likes +critdmg, so there isn't a lot of risk involved
It's insane profit and even the daily transmutation is enough for many players in order to come by.

'Free money' with JC
On my server there seems to be something weird going on. Raw blue quality gems are going below their cut minimum price. This mostly happens with orange and green gems and they can't help but bring a smile to my face.
So basically, I just buy 'em out, cut 'em semi-afk (I come back every 10 mins to check if my JC is done cutting them). So, I basically earn 50s - 1g for with 2 clicks (crafting and vendoring ' em).
Not bad, eh?
Green quality gems sometimes go below vendor price as well. Raw they go for 5g/20 gems, but cut they go for a minimum of 10g (in theory you could get 20g as well, but that's just pure RNG).
You could of course say that you could use your time better. Sure you can! But this isn't hard and I think it's as 'free' as it gets. So, say you need a smoke, or you've got to go to the... toilet! Well, this is perfect for you! Just craft 'em and walk up to the vendor when you're ready.
So far I've made a fair deal of gold with it (total of about 200g - 300g profit).
'Free' is a relative term, but in WoW this is as free as it gets. You can't really stick a gold/hour on it, but it doesn't take more than a single braincell.

Some alt love
I love my alts...
I use them for professions and to just waste time before going to school or a party. For some weird reason, I take it easier than with my main. It's not as stressful and it's WAY easier too quit.
My goal for them is to have at least 5 alts at or above 78. So far I've got an 80 hunter, 80 paladin, 78 DK, 78 Druid. So I guess my lock is going to be next. The only problem with my lock is his name (Sneep). I was very young when I thought of that name and I'm actually really ashamed of it, but I don't wanna spend real money to change his name in-game.
Ah well..
I'm really curious what will happen in Cataclysm, so that's why I'm already preparing my alts so I can join the FotM gang (really hope it's going to be a hunter this time!)

My view on politics
Years ago, while still being at high school, I came up with an idea: the way politics work isn't effective.
Why would I think that? Well, everyone's unique, so their thoughts are unique as well. Political parties however don't think like that, so they just make a blend of various ideas about various topics.
My conclusion: you can't ACTUALLY vote on a party, because you'll NEVER fully agree.
I've never voted in my life. There are things I like from various parties, but I can't agree on everything.
I used to be a socialist. I used to make paintings about socialism and I used to express my believes. At some point there were a few guys from Chechnya who were fed up with me. They burnt my paintings and swore that they would kill me if I would still express my political believes. They started speaking about Russia, Adolf Hitler, the Jihad and why socialism is bad.
From that moment on my life was changed. I lost faith that people would share my views and I learned that everybody has some ideas that conflict with the greater masses of politics.
Nowadays, my views on politics are a mixture of everything: capitalism, socialism, anarchy, nationalism, etc, etc...
The word fails...

Achies, Gearscore and "HAXX"
Here's a (nice?) piece of ranting. Do note that most of this comes from personal experiences and emotions.
There are a lot of stupid and dumb people in the World of Warcraft. There are some who like to think they've got a solution to it: 'Achies'.
First of all, you've got to have proof nowadays that you know what you're doing. Therefore people resort to "Achies" and the like. And what if the character you're playing is just an alt and that your main is Kungen from Ensidia? You still don't get invited, just because that specific character doesn't have X Achievement for Y instance. Elitist nonsense!
Second of all my least favorite: Gearscore. These days, when I look around in the trade channel there's one thing that strikes me: people identify themselves with a number. "5124 GS X Class LF Y instance". People should be chosen because they are good and not because when you do some math their gear comes out at some high number (often faked as well!)
My last piece of rant today: "HAXX". Yesterday, during a Warsong Gulch match on one of my alts, some priest started telling me I "HAXXd!". He claimed that I used something called "Walhaxx" and that I "will bann bc of HAXX". I didn't understand anything he said but the words "HAXX", "u!" and "reporded".
The funny thing is, when I tried explaining that it was a priest levitating up a wall, he said that that was me. That I "HAXX ppl".
If you start accusing people, look at the facts available. A priest using the levitate spell walking up a wall is the fault of a Tree Druid who's throwing out buffs and heals downstairs? Don't think so! And when you're accusing somebody, write in a way the other person actually understands what you're talking about.
Also, the fact that you know the NAMES of various "HAXX" makes YOU more suspicious than somebody who doesn't understand what they are!
In less words: people don't like using their brains and no longer trust people they don't know.

Utopia
"I have a dream..." - M.L.King
Think of your perfect world for a second, do this with your eyes closed.
What would it look like?
Who would be in it?
Who would be in control (if anyone?!)?
Now open your eyes and look around and see if you can find anything you thought of.
I've done this a lot, but it always leaves a weird taste in my mouth.
"I have a dream..." about a world in which culture is back to where it belongs. I have a dream about people living together without all the problems. I have a dream in which communication is clear and where you for once have the idea you know what everybody is saying.
I dream of Asia. I dream of people in Asia willing to forgive me for what my country has done to them and the world.
One day, I hope my day will come and that my dream comes true.

Queues... and some more queues...
/sigh
I've been having quite some problems with my alts and my AH'ing. The main thing that's keeping me back are the queues.
Since I'm not allowed to play WoW (thanks to my parents) I have to disconnect quite often, another reason why I'm not raiding or doing hardcore pvp. During the evening I'm often stuck in queues ranging from 10 to 45 minutes!
Another thing that's bugging me: JC. Let me explain: I casually try to sell a few gems along the way, but even those are not selling anymore. Seems that the competition is really on edge or there might be some power struggles on the AH battlefield. Whatever it is, it's making me NOT sell my gems (mostly Meta gems).
I'm going to shift my gaze a bit with Inscription. No longer will I focus on glyphs, but rather on vellums, to see if there's some money in that. Ever since the LFG and all that cross-server nonsense, there are a lot more enchanting mats so the prices for enchantments are lower. Perhaps that will make more people buy 'cheap' enchantments, so that's a market I should investigate further.
On the bright side, the prices for Eternal Fire seem to have gotten higher again, so I'm selling them for GREAT profit :)) from +- 700 or so I'm now down to 300, all for about 10 - 15g profit.

The last two weeks
I totally forgot about this blog of mine, so I'm sorry about that one!
Happy new year!
It's been some time since I wrote anything down, mainly due to new year and being ill.
I've been busy with studying Mandarin Chinese in my free time and with surviving my family.
My situation: I'm not allowed to play World of Warcraft. Yet, for some reason, I've been playing this game for 4 to 5 years now, so you can hardly call their actions successful!
About the family: my big brother got diagnosed as being depressed. Of course that's not something that just popped up, but something we knew for quite some time. Mental diseases are, sadly, pretty common in my family. I've got PDD-NOS... I'd describe it as a combination between Autism and PDD with some random other stuff mixed in. It's not a severe form, but it still is annoying.
Also, my little brother seems to get crazier by the day! He keeps skipping small parts of songs, movies and books and when you ask 'why', he starts attacking you. He tried to strangle me, started hitting me in the face and started crying when I started poking on a pressure point so he'd release me. He's really bad at fighting...
Ok!
Overview of my in-game 'life':
I've been leveling a few alts and I've tried getting rid of some of my Eternal Fires (I had around 40 stacks) and I'm down to around 25 stacks now.
The Eternals move slower than expected, but I'm still making a lot of profit (bought many of 'em for about 8/piece, selling for 18 - 22/piece).
At the same time I'm totally out of the glyph business. The competition was too fierce and I couldn't hold on to it. I've also noticed that many of my former competitors are out as well. Cutthroat competition with perhaps a few silver profit is not my thing...
On the bright side!
As I said, I've been leveling my alts a bit. My druid is at 77, same as my DK (I'm going to make a post about him in some time) and my Warlock is at... 73 if I remember correctly. Also, my mage's going up and since the queues on my server are bizar, I've been playing on my Horde Server as well. I'm a level 16 Undead Prot Warrior. Yeey! I do like its name: Watchmebleed, because well... it's Prot!
